Because that affords me the option to tell Xfinity how absolutely terrible their cable internet service is.

FIOS is hands down better. 150Mbs both ways for $50/mos and light years more reliable, performance wise, than Xfinity. At least up here in MA.

(we cut the cord and have Hulu and Netflix for TV)
We cut the cord too.. well for a couple years. Then just recently they sold me on a bundle again that is actually cheaper than what I was paying for just internet. I'll cancel when the year is up unless they can keep me at the current price. It's not bad really 80 bucks for 150mbps internet and basic cable. I still wish I had other options.

That's funny. We dropped the cable for TV because it was awful, but the same company has had good internet service. We switched to Dish for TV and are quite happy with it.

Those of you using cable in your RVs that are parked long-term, how did you have your cable routed inside, a window, hole (if so where), or otherwise?

Cable internet inside the camper?

IF I had that luxury, I'd just use the existing tap / connection for cable TV that is installed already. T- off of that before it enters the TV and put my cable modem on one of the branches. Connect a WiFi router to that mounted wherever you want and you're golden.

Never thought of running Cable internet into the camper, but it should be really easy if you have the service. Just use the existing pre-wired cable hookups for 90% of it.

Some RV owners will use one of these with satellite antennas and temporary through a window;

The best setup I ever had was in the TX panhandle.
The local comm company offered cable modem, cable tv and phone.
I ordered Internet only. I figured I could stream anything I wanted to watch.
Tech agreed to connect to the TT cable connection. He set up the modem in the tv cubby hole and I hooked up my wifi router. We did the speed test and he called it good.

24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? I think not.
