Love Yeungling - did not enjoy hauling trailer through Pottsville, PA heading for Knoebels, (where Yeungling is born) but really enjoy the beer.

Big fan of the Black and Tan right now.

I guess I'm the cheap one here. I bought a 12 pk of Miller High Life bottles today after work (on sale). But I still find I enjoy them immensely! You all are drinking primo beers!

Sure, it does. Root beer originally had a small alcohol content, because it was carbonated through the action of yeast- which created a bit of fun juice in the process.

The real advantage to drinking Miller High Life is that you can buy it almost anywhere. Try that with your primo beers.

I like Miller High Life, but I also have a case of Eliot Ness that's made by Great Lakes Brewing Company in Cleveland, OH (along with Edmund Fitzgerald and several other varieties) along with a case of Yuengling Black & Tan. However, they're "sippin' beer" as I call them and are harder to come by once you're out of the area where they're produced. To drink a "sippin' beer" with something mundane like a pizza or hoagie would be downright insulting, not to mention wasting a good beer.

Now if they would just get someone to distribute this to the North East...have to "import" it from the south when I go.

Have any of you noticed how many Micro-Breweries there are nowadays? Here in NW AR, they're poping up all over the place (probably because of the University). Some are really good but some are really bad. A couple months ago I stopped at the PEI Brewing Company (in PEI ) for a tour and some brew. The tour was nice, the facility was top notch but the brew...well, lets just say, it was less than impressive. I had to get back to the RV and have some Bud Select just to make sure my taste "buds" weren't going bad .

Yuengling Lager is my preferred beer. Canadian is my Whiskey - with cheap Vodka as my second place choice.

I picked up a case of Wanderlust 2weeks ago when I drove through Portland. I tasted it on tap in Brookings, Or. At the Public House and just loved it. This is by far the best IPA I have enjoyed over the years.
