Winnebago buys Grand Design

Only peripherally related to Jayco, but was just reading that Winnebago announced they were buying Grand Design. Winnebago is increasingly moving into the towables segment. With this new acquisition towables will be over a third of their sales mix (revenue).

Grand Design is a spin off started by three former Thor executives.

So maybe a little more competition for the big two...
2011 Jayco X19H (purchased 2015)
2008 Jayco 1007 PUP (purchased new, traded for the X19)
2018 Nissan Titan Midnight Ed.

The 3 trailers that made my short list were the Winnebago Ultralite, Jayco Eagle or White Hawk, and the Grand Design Reflection. I don't see this as a cause for concern. I felt like they were all upper crust as to general quality... (which ain't really sayin' much )... and ended up with the White Hawk. So far, so good...
