Neat, but no. Mixed drinks means more dishes, I prefer a bottle. And bluetooth speakers? Probably sound awful and/or don't go loud enough to be useful like most novelty speaker items.

Besides, how long before you spill your margarita all over the speakers when you are hammered at 2am?

To me that sounds worse! Maybe I abuse my coolers too much but I imagine a beat up cooler with missing parts, broken speakers and stories of "when this thing worked it was AWESOME! " LOL

Looks cool but I wouldn't use most of the features. Likely no.

hell ya...that is great. there is a company in southern California called Liquipel that can make all your electronic gear water safe without a case! check them out! I set up all of their machine power. I'm an electrical contractor. that would cure any issues with water on your phone or speakers...I'm not sure if you have heard any of the new Bluetooth wireless speakers lately but they are crazy load and sound like a full system....

Oh hell yes......that looks like a sweet little combo. Socalken is right, the improvements in Bluetooth wireless speakers have been phenomenal. I was over at friends house and the bluetooth speakers around his patio were every bit as good as my Bose system if not better and half the price. The unit in the video though looked a little small, I wonder if they make a larger unit and what the cost would be.

You can't buy this yet. It's a vapor product that they are trying to get starter money for on Kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...thats-actually

If I used a cooler more, I would probably consider that one. It solves virtually ALL the problems I never knew I had!

No!

On paper (and the prototype as hyped in the video), it's a "Gadgeteer's" dream. In actuality, an expensive conversation piece to make others want to keep up with "the Joneses" and might not even perform as well at keeping things cold as the traditional cooler that rolls over the hill at the beginning of the video.

While the design and features are innovative, you're still faced with the age-old problem as when you buy any item that contains a number of other items integrated into it- What happens when one of those items fails or becomes obsolete?

...and where does the blender store when it's not being used? If the compartments are full, I guess you'll have to store it in something and strap it to the Coolest with those bungee cords it's equipped with.

Personally, I would rather see someone develop just a cooler with improved insulation that would require less ice and keep things cold longer. Isn't that what a cooler's all about? If you notice, there is absolutely nothing mentioned in the video about the Coolest's cooling capabilities. I wouldn't be surprised if this cooler performs worse than others in keeping things cold due to all the gadgetry placed where there could have been insulation.

I'd rather have a Yeti cooler. Super expensive but bear proof and claims to keep ice frozen for a week in the Texas sun. www.yeticoolers.com

No. Too many bells and whistles for me and I'd bet the price will reflect that...I'd rather invest in beer.

Yeti coolers are big business around here. I don't get it, there's no way I'd spend that kind of dough on a cooler, I don't care HOW good it is.

At the end of the day, Yeti's are still just a cooler. I can buy a lot of Wal-Mart ice for $400!

I'll buy a Yeti cooler, bring along a blender and plug my iPod into the TT sound system. It's just an expensive "gadget" in my opinion. FPM said it best.
