We are sitting in the middle of NY state hoping for the best but are very prepared for the worst. We were flooded the last 2 storms of Irene and Lee and without power for 6 days. We now have the TT which will be used for heat, fridge and cooking if needed. Filled 5 propane tanks, extra water and food, batteries and books from the library to pass the time. As a volunteer firefighter I know the importance of being self sufficiant during a crises. We had way too many calls during the last storm for people without water and no way to cook. We like to be able to take care of real emergencys during that time instead of trying to find you water and ways for you to cook. Go buy water now, not next week and get your flashlights out, buy extra food, fill your car with gas and do this now, not tuesday when the storm hits. If we end up not getting much..good, at least you were smart and prepared!

We appear to be close to the center of the bullseye here in Eastern Va. Just canceled a Halloween camping trip this weekend, the CG was good enough to apply any deposits to a future event because they had to cancel all events for Saturday. This storm looks to be a serious situation for tens of millions of folks. I`m getting more depressed by the minute from this whole thing..........

Heading up to the RV on Friday / Saturday to batten things down then back home to Central PA. Will fill the port-a-potty, check batteries, candles, propane and hope for the best Monday / Tuesday. Everyone, please stay safe.

I will be thinking of you, Crabman, and all the other East Coasters. I hope Sandy gives up quickly!

This will be my first serious storm with my TT. I will be moving it into the street in front of my home because there are some big dead/dying trees on my neighbor's property that I am sure will drop limbs or come down completely right where I normally store it. My property is surrounded by woods so there aren't many places I can move it to escape the danger. A few years ago we had a tree take out my wife's brand new Jeep. So, I will fill the water tank, chock the wheels, keep the insurance policy handy and pray for the best. If anyone has more suggestions I'd appreciate it. I am a bit worried because it is a light TT and they're predicting winds of 60-90mph. Taking it on a trip is not an option as I will be required to work through the storm.

I ran inland for two storms on the gulf coast this past summer. Good luck and be safe.

Well mine is stored within probably 600 yards of the beach. Well actually mine and thousands more in the general area. I can only hope all goes well. Good luck to all that lie in its path!
