Question Zero Gravity Chairs

Morning. Just trying to figure out which chair will be worth the money. I want the ones with a 300 lbs rating. Thanks in advance.

Pay attention to the reclining lock on the arm rests. If they are the friction type, they will wear out and over time and won't stop you from going all the way back. We purchased ours at Cabela's. The lock is the gear type. We have had them for 6 years now and they are still like new.

Don't leave them out overnight or in the rain. Put them away out of the sun and rain when your not using them. The bungee strings will dry rot. A friend of ours purchased the same chairs shortly after we did, they leave them out all the time. They are not in good shape.

If you check the Cabela's or any sporting goods store ads, you can catch them on sale. Ours are rated for 300lbs and I remember paying around $89.00 for each of them. IMO camping world chairs are a little over priced.

I have two of these that we ordered on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o07_s00

We've been very pleased so far. I bought the first one for $69, Second one for $64. Now they're showing $59.

Never been a big fan of the Zero Gravity chairs. I just don't find them all that comfortable, I know, weird right?

Anyway, I just got one of these for Christmas:

http://www.amazon.com/ALPS-Mountaine...lla+camp+chair

800 lb capacity. I haven't gotten to use it in the "wild" yet, but I opened it up and sat in it most of Christmas Day, and I LOVE it. When you sit in it, there's no give to the frame at all. It's like sitting down on a real chair only much more comfortable. And getting up out of it is EASY; you can lift yourself on the arms and it makes it super nice.

I have two. I like mine, my wife does not. I quit carrying hers in the rig. My only complaint is they are heavy.

I agree they are heavy and need to be kept out of the rain. I had to replace the elastic on one so far. Can't complain about the quality of nap you get though!!

Our first set was the Sun/Min Dunham's special, $40/ each I think they were. Have lasted without any issues for about 4 yrs, but there is a bar across the back of the legs (knee/calf area) that bothered my wife.

So we bought a set of the Gander Mountain Deluxe models, a ton more comfortable than the cheaper ones.... Got them on sale during a buy one, get one half off, and orders online received another 10% off....

Regardless of which model you buy, they are bulky and on the heavy side. We store ours inside the trailer, under the J Cube beds on the floor. We also always put them under the ez-ups at the end of the night or during rain to protect them.

Good luck deciding!!!

I got a pair packaged together at COSTCO for $80 on sale...

Used them a year so far and they are holding up well.

I carry two zero gravity on one of the bike rack hooks attaches to the ladder, they take too much room in the basement.
