Campfire Burritos!

Hi all, new to the forum here, thought I'd share one of our favorites.

We like to make campfire burritos for an easy late night snack. Basically just a tortilla with the usual suspects inside - cheese, whatever meats ya got (smokies or leftover chicken, diced up burgers etc), onions, salsa, and even rice if ya got it! Wrap them up in some tinfoil and toss em on the fire grate for 5 min a side or so.

We do 90% of our cooking on the fire, anything from steaks to mussels to chicken wings to pancakes and bacon, i'm sure I'll be checkin' this forum out quite often for new ideas!

Welcome to the forum. I like your burrito idea and will use it when we are camping this year.

What a great idea for getting rid of leftovers! Would work for lunch, too . . . even dinner! Thanks for posting it, and welcome to The Forum.

I make burritos at home, wrap in foil, and freeze them. We pop them on the fire pit or in the oven to reheat when we want them. Easy to make and reheat. We like to warm them in the oven so it heats up the camper in the morning.

You can make dessert burritos too- bananas, chocolate chips, marshmallows. Kids love them.

Can't wait to camp!!

This is good for breakfast too. Just cook up some scrambled eggs, sausage and/or bacon, maybe some potatoes, then wrap it in a large tortilla. Easy peasy.

Had sausage and egg burritos for breakfast yesterday before breaking camp to head home. Easy and yummy!
