Me too! Hopefully soon as the governor of Texas will be reopening state parks next week. Although I’m not sure what the thinking was for requiring face masks. It’s not clear but it seems like wearing the masks are required if you’re just hanging out in front of your trailer or hiking on the trails. I understand if you’re going into the ranger store or an activity center but any other outdoor activity shouldn’t require wearing them imho.

I was trying to make some reservations earlier tonight, but the website isn't accepting them yet. Maybe Monday when they reopen...

I need to make a reservation somewhere, anywhere , soon! Curious as how they’re going to handle a family with more than 5 members

Hope so! Although much of the policies haven’t seemed to exhibit that so far! [emoji1787][emoji23][emoji1787]
I mean seriously, social distancing in a state park is kinda the whole purpose of going to the park...to get away from the city and feel the fresh air and wide open spaces [emoji3]....at least that’s why I go

It’s a hot one for sure, one log you see in the middle was a 22”x 36” tree trunk about 400 lbs. it’ll be burning through tomorrow night. Lots of cleanup from pre Easter and Easter thunderstorm w/tornado warning alert going off on our phones at 4:05a. 1 min later lights went out here. Verrrry scary. No tornado at all just high winds and some hail.

Thanks Tom, dough was premade the other day, thawed out from freezer. However I left it in two minutes too long. That is, in the factory camper Atwood propane oven. Still good though.

Great Video - I make pizza often when we camp but I buy store bought dough. You have inspired me sir to take it up a notch and attempt my own!

That’s awesome! Once you do it and realize how easy it is and how much better it is, you’ll never want store bought again. Happy camping!

I have a stand mixer, but prefer to mix the dough up with a hand whisk

I’ve been making pizza while camping for several years. I use a pizza stone in my bbq. I started on my bbq at home and took the idea with me camping. I’ve been wanting to build a wood fire pizza oven in the backyard, but the money always seems to go somewhere else. Building a wood fired pizza oven for the mountains for camping would be a fun summer project. I’ve got plenty of wood there to use to fuel it.

Some German and Mexican pizzas are commonly cooked while camping.

I would love a wood fired oven in my back yard!
One day I may get around to building one

Campground pizza

Thanks to this threads I’m looking at building a pizza oven for the house. They seem to be running about $1500-2500 with diy kit and all materials to build it. I did see a video on how to do it for a fraction of that. I might give that a try. I’ve been eyeing the camp chef stoves for awhile. I’m thinking of heating a 3 burner unit and putting a camp chef pizza oven on two burners leaving me one burner to cook other stuff with. That is unless I build one on my campsite on the 10 acres I camp on.
