I can of Cento San marzano tomatoes (28 oz I think)
1 tsp of salt
3-4 basil leaves
Pinch of red pepper flakes (I like it this way but don’t always add it)
Use a stick blender to purée into your desired consistency

I taste the sauce and add salt or a pinch of sugar as needed.

Stay tuned...I have a new oven on the way and I’m going to do a gluten free dough. Seems like a lot of people are interested in GF these days.
Awesome Tom! No olive oil or butter in your sauce? That's interesting, can't wait to try it. My wife has a gluten sensitivity, but she muscles through for pizza. In my mind, pizza without gluten is a sin...

After watching your video I have found some propane fired, stand alone pizza ovens in the $130-200 range... this might actually happen!

Awesome!

No oil or butter in the sauce. Really wouldn’t hurt if you added some EVOO, but I like it more “Neapolitan“ style. NY style or American would indeed have some oil and some oregano as well. Experiment with it to get to where you like it. That’s the beauty of homemade pizza. You can make it the way YOU like it. [emoji3][emoji487]

Thanks Tom for taking the time to send me the written ingredients for sauce and dough.

Working on the sauce now...stay tuned...

BTW, Tom you weren’t kidding about how sticky the GF dough is!

Campground pizza

Looks good Dan! How’s your oven working? Better yet, how’s the pizza?

This pizza oven is fantastic! Unfortunately I’ve had it for a year now and only used it maybe 4 times! About to take the 1st pie out...

Just a guess but looking at your dough, and the fact you said you got the GF flour from the store, you’re not using the Caputo.

Order some from amazon and then make some pizza. You’ll thank me later. [emoji23]

They didn’t have the Caputo at the store up here. I had to get Bob’s Red Mill. I just had a bite...it tastes really good, but I’d like to try the Caputo brand.

I REALLY miss eating gluten, but my 10 year old DD is type 1 and celiac...so I go without for her.

I’m with you...I like my gluten too. Once you try the Caputo, you won’t miss the gluten as much.

I actually have a new pizza oven on order from Italy. Once I get it, I’m going to do a second pizza video using the GF flour. I can’t wait for that thing to get here!

Edit: my DW is gluten sensitive. I’ve tried all kinds of pre mix GF flours, cauliflower crust, GF flour recipes with everything you can imagine. The Caputo fiore glut is by far the best. By a long way! And I’m a pizza snob and a gluten lover!

I bet the crust is better on this one. Next time use a little less cheese and drizzle a little olive oil before cooking

Can I get the Caputo flour at HEB? Only asking because I’ll be down in Houston Sunday/Monday. Co-worker is buying a class C (not a Jayco) and asked me to come down with him to look it over.

I wish. Right now amazon is the only place I know to get it from. Maybe in Dallas...there’s a place called Jimmy’s which is an Italian deli/market. I bought regular Caputo pizzeria flour from there before (55lb bag)

Jimmy’s food store
