First chicken cooked on the Grizzly Spit & first official outing in the 23B
I hope I attached the picture correctly. This was our first weekend at an actual campground in the new camper. It rained quite a bit and we were all a muddy mess when we returned home yesterday. We also got to experience pulling into the CG in the pitch black and pouring rain, DH got to experience backing up a brand new rig into a spot where we couldn't see, and we also got to break out our water bandit as none of the spigots were threaded. And they were all on the wrong side of the road. It was a terse few minutes until we got unhitched, let me tell you! After that, depsite the weather we had a great weekend.
Luckily the rain didn't put out our fire and our chicken roasted beautifully on our new grizzly spit. Unfortunately, I forgot my potato masher and left the peas in the freezer at home, so we ended up having plates of chicken meat and pints of Guinness for dinner Saturday. At least we hit the two major foodgroups.
