I use this cheap little item, I place it directly over my 24 oz mug. I like the coffee better than the coffeemaker coffee at home. It's easy to use, and easy to clean up, takes little storage space and requires no electricity. I love it.

When we had our pop up, my wife found a full size stainless steel insulated french press pot at REI. We have a 1 gal boiler (think blue enamel coffee pot) we use to heat the water and then make a full pot in the french press. Makes absolutely the best coffee for camping I've ever had.

I keep a small coffee pot in the TT to use when we have power or use the generator. I also keep some Folgers coffee singles to use when we don't have power. I've never used a press, might have to look into one of those.

We bring an electric kettle and use a french press.

On our last trip I considered bringing our automatic espresso maker from home and put it in the outside kitchen. My wife reminded me about the noise from the grinder, and the line of people that would form who all want fresh espresso!
