We need to experiment with our own recipes. I got her a Instapot cookbook, hoping to find some things we both would like. There were a lot that weird things in them, or ingredients I couldn't pronounce.

It's like learning about a microwave, all over again. Still trying to master an air fryer. Got the mozzarella sticks down cold!

We have friends with them but so far have resisted. My DW has no interest in them, preferring the same methods and recipes she has always used. I on the other hand also do a lot of cooking and always am interested in new stuff.

I'll likely put it off until the next great thing comes along and makes the Instapot obsolete.

Aren’t your mozzarella sticks supposed be warm or hot, not cold?

You are absolutely right. I would've said we have them "down pat", but I resist naming my food after humans...it just seems wrong!

A question on the instant Pot. How much battery power does it use if you have a inverter to make 120 volts when boondocking. I would have to run it off the generator out in the middle of no where. We love our instant pot at home. I did not read all the posts, I hope this question isn't a repeat.

Ours draws 1100 watts, or almost 9.2 amps.

Reviving an old thread.
We use our insta pot every third day or so. We make a lot of soup and also brown rice. Yes, it has a bit of a draw but with our solar, no issues.
Our main cooktop is induction. It draws a bit of power too, but still no issues.

Yeppers, we have a small 4qt Instapot that we keep in the RV all season.

They are great for rainy days or when you want to pressure cook some raw beans to make chili or something similar.
