Its not the food establishments at all. We toured the Southwest. We came home to Maine with jars of various salsii and buckets of dried chiles and powdered garlic scapes ( you NEVER see those at home)
Jams and jellies of various cacti
I understand. Totally

When we're out camping, we keep an eye out for roadside vegetable stands or farmer's markets, and stock up on fresh veggies that way. Nothing quite like having corn on the cob picked that morning for supper, followed by fresh baked banana bread for dessert. Because of this, sometimes we come home with a fridge that's fuller than when we left.

That was my point, not restaurants.
