That's a neat looking pellet grill. Not to sure about not being able to put down foil to catch drippings and make clean-up easier but the overall cool factor would have me buying one

I put foil down every time I have used it over the grate to catch drippings, I dont see a need to open the grate up for open flame. Cooked hamburges with it closed at 400 degrees with no problems

I have the 18.5 WSM that I bring with us often. Never had a complaint, just compliments. It is amazing how far the smell can travel across the campground. I have been thinking about getting the 14.5 but I think it may be too small for our families needs.

Yeah the size is definitely a trade-off. If I were traveling with kids, etc., I would probably look more at the 18.5". For a couple like us, the 14.5" is a perfect size.

I have a Bradley Digital smoker and use it all the time. It puts off LESS smoke than a campfire and what does come off smells so good. Just be courteous about where you place it so that it does not continually flow into somone's sitting area or penetrate their RV and you should be good to go.

I honestly can't imagine anyone complaining about others cooking out and having a good time.

My only complaint would be that the smell would make me hungry!

Seriously, if someone complains and there are fire pits, suggest that they camp somewhere without them.

If you were by me that would not be an issue either, lol.
I usually cook too much anyway.

I'm resurrecting this thread...

I FINALLY was able to find a WSM 14.5" on sale this week, so I bought it.

It should be the perfect size to bring to the CG with me! Looking forward to it, as it incorporates two things I love doing....camping.....bbq'ing....
