The McRib Is Back!

I heard the McRib was back nationwide at McDonalds yesterday, so today, I splurged and got a McRib meal, with an extra McRib for a dollar more. I know it's not campfire cooking, but if you like greasy, salty, barbecuey food once every year or two, it's pretty good!

We always referred to it as the "McPig" sandwich...but I'll get one (just one) while they are back.

Even after knowing how they're made and what they're made of, I still like to get a couple whenever they show up. haha

Nothing says YUMMY, like "restructered meat products".

Just thinking about those 70 ingredients is makin' me hungry!

Its like...............pre-digested. What's not to like?

I think TID is the key word here. Never had one, never will. Good BBQ is to easy to find in the south.

I think the McRib has a cult following.LOL

In support of McRib ... In days gone by we used to wake up and have a slice of cold pizza for breakfast. That was washed down with a slug of warm beer that hopefully didn't have any ashes in it. And we're still here! I'm going to enjoy my next McRib and try not to get a big blob of sause on me or my keyboard.

I tried a McRib once to see what all the fuss was about.., but I couldn't taste the meat and the sauce was pretty bland. I guess the OP summed it up well.

I'll pass this time.

I had one about 20 years ago and for no specific reason, never got another one. Anyway, this past Thursday I came home with one after work. It was OK at best. I have no desire to order another ever again.

After having my 2 McRib meal last week, I have no desire to have another one. I might in a couple of years.

Now if McDonald's came out with a McBLT sandwich, I'd be all over that one!

When they first introduced them they were giving away free samples in Saskatoon and very few would take them...

Here's a review of Rudy's on my website, Smoker-Cooking.com.

http://www.smoker-cooking.com/rudys.html

Since I'm in Arizona this winter, I definitely need to try the place out!

I had a McRib last night and it was delicious. We ate in the car so I had to be extra careful. I leaned forward and ate it over the box it comes in, used three napkins, and still made a mess with the sauce. But it was a small mess.

I had me a two sandwich deal and it was pretty good! My only complaint was I felt like I ordered a box of sauce and got a sandwich with it!
