Upgraded my grill..

I stumbled upon a wonderful upgrade that can be added to most grills. This started with my purchase of a propane grill for my trailer. Not wanting to spend to much and wanting to use the propane fitting on the end of my DSRL I stopped at HomeDepot and purchased a stainless propane grill for 99.99.
It works ok but flames and burns the meats if there is any grease that drips. After pretty much ruining a couple of thick steaks I was really frustrated. No matter where I moved them on the grill there were flames and smoke. Thankfully I found the solution for my problem in a product called GrillGrates.
They are anodized aluminum plates that are shaped so it become a infrared cooker..Mine are cut to size to replace the stainless grill and just set in like they belong there. Having them cut to size was a little extra and almost cost me as much as the stove, but I'm so happy that I'll be getting another set for my Camp Chef bbq that sets on my Explorer stove. I have no affiliation with this business but I can sure recommend it's products. The site is: http://www.grillgrate.com/.Also here is a picture of one of my steak cooks with the new grillgrates..

Cleaning

A little of both can clean, they are basically seasoned like cast iron when you use canola oil or something similar. So a wire brush will clean the tops or the grates, but for in the groves, the fingered spatula helps and round brushes can do the job as well. I take them out occasionally and wash them just like any grill we might use. That spatula came with my grates and works well although I still use all of my other utensils as well.. They do burn off alot of the grease and leave the meat moist for me but I clean up the grill some after each cook when traveling and break it down when I get home and clean the grill inside and out.

You included part of your next sentence in the link for grill grates, so it acts like a broken link.

Here is the correct link: GrillGrates For Any Grill | GrillGrate

It does both depending on what you cook, I'd say most burns off but some drips down to the grease trap, although not nearly as much as before. How level your stove is does make a difference to some degree..

I thought about it for my grille that connects to the back of our camper so I would say it should be fairly level
