2017 222 party deck

hey guys,
so before I ask this question I just wanna say I did a search and didn't really find any answer, also I will not call jayco to find out if I can convert my ramp into a party deck..of course they're gonna say NO!!
one guy of this forum did mention that his ramp warped on his 222 after losing his hog in and out like 10 times..

so I went to the camper show yesterday here in Michigan and they had one toy hauler, it was a Cherokee..now why wouldn't jayco show up!!
anyways I took some pics of the cable setup so I can do this to mine.

has any 222 octane owners do the the deck conversion yet?

We have a new Octane 161, and we had the dealer call Jayco to ask about this option specifically. Jayco said that it's not an option on the Super Lite trailers, but we have a workaround that we're building right now.

Given that one user here reported warping of the door just by driving their Harley up the ramp, I don't have a ton of confidence in the door's strength when used as a party deck with just cables. We're going to instead build something along the lines of this:

The idea is to build cushioned supports under the door to help spread the weight across the entire door. We're designing ours to also handle being deployed over a river bank or similar uneven ground. I'll post follow-up pictures when we're done.

my ramp deck setup

after researching and found noting I wanted to hear I went with this method and it works just fine.
1" 1/2 inner. sch40
2"outer. sch40
not sure what they call the things I'm using for the top and bottom base, but I hit the inside with some sandpaper to make it easier to break down.
I also 3D printed the plugs so I could line everything without a hassle

thanks jjaxon
I researched this, had my plan in place to get the cable setup, weld support plate in the camper to hold the cable and then IndiVin posted that video.
wanted to keep mine light and easy to break down and something that would fit in a storage bin.
besides the wood plank, its all made from sch 40 PVC and fully adjustable.

Laser204, how tall are those posts (pvc pipe) when the ramp is resting on top? I'd like to make these myself, but my 222 is far off in storage so I can't get measurements at the moment. Thanks.

Not sure why you're asking for mercy. I watched 30 or 40 times and did not feel the need for mercy.
