2017 Seismic

Any one on here know what drive motor they put in the Seismic ( 2017 specifically ) slide ? I had mine replaced last year and the dealer tells me they were 300:1, I was going to order a spare one but am thinking I woulda liked to have 500:1's in there, anyone know if they are a stronger built unit and if I do decide to get a couple and replace them, will they physically fit, dealer tells me they will just have to replace them both to make them 500:1's, may make the slide operate more smoothly.

thought about doing this too given the slide issues I had prior to lubing everything.

my understanding is they they are the same physical size, same motor, just gearing differences. Also, I have been told that doing this would results in needing stronger drive bars, as the standard ones are not designed for the 500:1 ratio. That said, I havent validated that with Lippert. could be urban myth...

some info re unit replacement to have handy -

I found the video where the tech notes needing a steel shaft for use with the high torque 500:1 motor -comments start at 4:50 -

so looks like a few things other that the motor will need changes.

I called them yesterday afternoon and they need a few numbers off the slide and are going to put together a package of everything I would need to change it out, may be a good winter project, my sister in law and brother in law just bought a new Jayco ( cant recall what model ) and are already having slide issues, the amount of trailers out there you would think they would have these issues fixed by now, I remember my first toy hauler 2004 Jayco Talon big slide, never a issue.
