2018 octane questions

Dump handles.
1. I have groups of capped wires in the area of gate valves, any idea?
2. I have to get under to reach handles and skirting is sharp ! Anyone "fix" this ?
3. Sewer hose holder is only a few ft deep, is there room beyond it? Seems like dead space.
I sure need some solutions, I'm getting frustrated.

Trying to like this camper but,
1. Little storage
2 cabinets are too high
3 cabinets not deep
4 only 2 drawers
5 drawers are SHORT

I noticed on my Seismic that sewer hose storage is very short, I mounted two tubes under the back of the camper to store them in, the have them on Amazon.

Storage is not a Octane strong suite. I have a step stool in mine to help with the upper shelves. I have added addition shelves in some of the cabinets along with some wall hooks to help with storage

Now if I could figure out how to avoid the sharp edges when dumping the holding tanks. Got to remember to wear long sleeves.

Bmiller, I know what you mean. Handles are right at curve of skirt too. So you can't put in a door. I'm ready to just put handles outside of skirt.

A length of this'll keep the band aids off.

UPDATE.
Removed access panel under bed, removed sewer hose door(it pulled right out). Cut off end of pipe, added 3 feet of pipe with cap and union(had to grind inner lip off) . 15 ft camco hose with clear 90 attached NOW FITS !
Added wall to split inner and outer storage.
Added shelves to all cabinets now we have 12 12inch high shelves.

2018 octane questions

I’ve dealt with a few of these “oversights” (designer’s and ours when purchasing). For the stank snake, I used a section of 5” square vinyl fence post bungeed to the a-frame behind the storage tray. For storage, we’ve added cubby storage shelving between the side door and the bed (took the idea from another poster here). For room in the cabinets we use large stackable Tupperware that fits perfectly to maximize space (bonus of keeping the food away from any critters). We use a small collapsible foot stool for the wife/kid to have access to higher cabinets (stores nicely behind the toilet). Not perfect, but over the last two summers we’ve stayed over 100 nights and it works (family of 3 and dog, with toys).

Craig, still looking for a drawer unit to replace the jump seat. Shelves worked out well. Have a folding stool ,now I need a 3 step to get into top bunk ! Next plan is to remove outdoor sprayer and install dump switches in that box. And hope to figure out what capped off wires are for underneath. Two plugs at each wheel, five wires hanging near waste outlet .

Which octane do you have with the luxury of TWO drawers? We lowly 161ers we’re only graced with 1…..

The wires underneath by the valves are for battery shut off option. If you trace them they go to the power panel. This feature doesn’t completely disconnect the batteries.

I did not use them. It’s easier to put a disconnect at the battery.
