Autocannibalistic Slide Mmmmm

Autocannibalism - the practice of eating oneself. Jayco says "num num num, mmmmmm good!"

My schwintek slide would retract about 8" and stop on one side. It would extend out just fine, but would only retract 8-10" on each attempt. The source of the problem in this case was that the under-slide roller eating part of the rubber weatherstripping under the slide.

My temporary weekend solution was to install some large fender washers in front of the roller to prevent self mutilation. Similar to that mask Hannibal Lector wears in Silence of the Lambs.

If anyone has a better solution to this problem I am open to suggestions.
Cheers!
