yes I'm cheap! after buying my new trailer, funds are low. Followed online instructions and indeed, some sawed boards can lift your tire for changing.
2x8x8' screwed together works fine at least on my SL.

I just bought a bottle jack for $20 bucks... and it fits in the tool bin in the back of the trailer and a 2x8x2 piece of wood...

good job... don't forget to loosen the lug nuts before you put it in the air!

Ha - I have the same. Had some plywood scraps and thought, I can make a ramp and maybe use it on the road.
