First timer!

Hey everyone, new to the forum. Just bought my first toyhauler / camper, a 2004 Talon ZX 5th wheel.
Overall it looks pretty good, and I got it for a steal.

I do have a couple questions maybe you guys can help me with.

1. Anyone know the bolt pattern, it didn't have a spare and I need to get one.

2. When I went to hook it up, my brake lights and turn signals worked, I think the 12v constant worked, as it seemed to charge the batteries, but I did not have trailer brakes (controller didn't even recognize that it was connected) or running/tail lights. Any ideas?

3. Should the electronics (ie landing jacks) operate with just the power from the pickup, or are the batteries required to complete a circuit?

Thanks in advance, and hope to learn much more from all of you!

On the bolt pattern, go to
etrailer.com
Go to the tire section and they show how to measure from center of one bolt to another and determine bolt pattern.
My 5 bolt pattern 13" is 4.5"

Not sure on your other questions.

May try searching trouble shooting brake controller on youtube.com

The prodigy techs have a pretty good 101 video.

Best regards,
Doug

Just to touch on this ancient thread, I discovered the issue with the brakes/controller.
The trailer batteries must be hooked up and have a decent charge for the brakes to work.
The TV power alone is not enough to operate everything as needed.
Not sure if this is how it came from the factory, but that's how it is now!

Trailer battery should have no effect on trailer brakes, they should work with no trailer battery they are in no way connected

The only function of the battery is to power the brakes in case the breakaway switch is activated.
