How many miles on your trailer?

Have wondered how many miles of towing can one expect to get on their trailer before the effects of towing start damaging the trailer walls, cabinets and general integrity of the trailer .

Well, I have 6500 miles on mine with no problems...……..yet.
Just had to replace the China Bomb Rainer's (due to broken belts) with Goodyear Endurance Load Range E tires this past fall.

I realize that a toy hauler sees different stresses than a traditional travel trailer or 5th wheel due to loading of various items. But, my 2017 travel trailer has a little over 10K on it without any major issues. We did have one overhead cabinet strut pull loose after running the washboard otherwise known as Rt 81 here in PA. I have also noticed that I can start to "See" one of the exterior wall studs protruding in the fiberglass exterior a little more than the others around it. I don't know if it is becoming loose in the wall, some minor delamination of the fiberglass starting there, or just something that was always there that I may have missed. It isn't in an area where you would suspect water intrusion, but you never know. In any case, I will be keeping an eye on that area.

Other than that, I haven't had any notable issues.

Over 10,000 on numerous rigs with the last being a 2015 PINNACLE and never any problems with cabinets. With that said we did have the "slide corner crack", but that showed up about a year after we got it.

11,300 in 2 1/2 years, mostly in AZ and NV, with one trip to CA. This summer heading to Nashville via I-40, then returning the Southern route. Stopping in San Antonio to see the grand kids. Looking at about a 4500 mile trip.

I think the correct answer is 1.

As soon as you start towing, the deterioration begins. If you are good about regular maintenance, you should not really start to notice degradation for thousands of miles. There are trailers from the 60's out there that have been well maintained and are still rolling along, but I am sure that they have had many a plumbing fixture or door hinge tightened over those years.

When shopping our current TT, I saw trailers of the same age in great shape and in horrible shape. I would suspect that maintenance was the primary difference. Well that and rambunctiousness of the kids; one looked like it had been lived in by a troop of monkeys.

2012, not a clue on many miles, but I would guess I have north of 20K miles on it.

We have 68,700 on our 2014 Octane 29T. Roof membrane on side pulled up around 45,000. Repaired. Added wet bolts at 16,000. Originals were totally gone. On 2nd set of brakes, 3rd set of tires, 4th radio/entertainment, 2 heater control cards, 1 electric water heater control board, on 3rd shower skylight, and just repaired front wall which was pulling away from the side walls. I check caulk frequently, have just recently found the start of delamination adjacent to the front wall/side wall repaired area. The only interior repairs have been adding bracing to table, lots of light bulbs, tightening misc screws, repairing blinds, and recover a couch. Still on the original batteries and water system.

Lots. Estimate over 70, 000 miles. 2016 195 RB
Been from Maine to Florida and back four times, To Alaska twice from Maine and to Arizona and back once. Each of those trips lasted six weeks so there was a bit of wandering.
Not included is the local trips we did this summer around Maine and on the ferry to the Maritimes.(loading a trailer onto a ferry is interesting with 35 foot tides)
We did slide on ice in our driveway and punch a hole in the TT and also bent the frame and axle. Both repaired at no cost.
And had one flat which made us jettison those crap Rainer tires.
Getting ready to tow to Cali from Maine in March. If we can dig it out ( whence the slide came to happen last year). currently encased in snow.

Close to 35k miles on our '16 355w. Some minor stuff has rattled loose such as moldings, but easily repaired.
I just recently upgraded the axles to 8k from 7k axles.
The biggest issue was the spring hangers breaking on a trip to SoCal. Highly recommend reinforcing the hangers on these trailers.
