Is this a good price new 2015 octane 26y

I have been shopping campers for 6 months and had it narrowed to an x254 or a octane 273. Local dealer has a 2015 new 26y with the generator and hapijack bed. Rv has 4 sofas and 2 are on hapijack. I can get it for 26.5k. Any input is appreciated.

Unfortunately, Jaycos website is misbehaving but I got a base price of $38,200 for a 2016 Octane T26Y.

Take 35% off that and I come up with $24, 845. And that is on a 2016. Add in your options and take another 5% off IMO for a 2015.

He is not doing you any favors.

Thanks

He showed me a msrp of 45 k, I thought that was high. I figured someone on here would be able to give good advice. It has the Onanistic generator and I don't really want it especially for 4grand.

They will really want to unload that 2015 - keep working on them if you want it (don't let them know that)... make a low offer - worst they will do is say no!

i would verify the MSRP of the rig you are looking at. I have seen some dealers inflate the MSRP. If you compare the dealers MSRP sheet to what you can build on Jayco's web site, or other (like rvdirect.com), that will tell you if you are looking at a realistic MSRP.

Sounds crazy, but when I was shopping new rigs, I had a copy of the manufacturers MSRP sheet. When I built the rig I wanted it MSRP'd around $xx,xxxx. Searching dealerships websites for similar rigs as well as RV Trader, I would find the same rig with less options and an stated MSRP that was $15,000+ more than what I knew the real MSRP to be (per the manufacturer).

Thanks guys

Thank y'all, it's not that I feel the price is that bad. I went into this with a budget of 25k and wanna stay at it. I like that the 26y has 4 couches as opposed to the 2 in the 272. It's a great layout

Congrats on the new rig. If you are happy with the price, that is what matters!

Lake Murray (Ardmore OK) has a state park with several campgrounds. There is an ATV area with trails to/from the campsites. Wooded area with tons of trails if your hauling a toy that gets dirty

Sounds fun

Sounds great, I'll have to try out that area. Thanks for advice.
I kbb the 2015 as used and it had a low retail of 26 and a high of 31k.
So I felt OK with a new one at the price, plus the dealer is a 50 miles away and a jayco dealer /repair facility.
Any other ideas? We are headed to dinosaur valley state park for spring break.
Kids are stoked!
