Jayco Octane 222 & Weight Distributing hitch

Can someone tell me what the measurement is from the tongue to between the propane tank and the battery rack on the 2015 Jayco Octane 222?

This is the only place to put the brackets for my equalizer wdh. Per the manual the brackets need to be placed between 27-32 inches back. 32" being optimal.

I already own the hitch, thinking of buying the toy hauler.

Thank you,

At work now, but I'll try to remember to get out and measure tomorrow morning if nobody else replies. I did not find enough room between the tank tray and battery rack on mine, I ended up buying the side plates that bolt on and will install them this spring.

The side plates to replace the chain hanger brackets. They have the hook to hang the chain on, but attach to the side of the frame with bolts instead of brackets that hook over the top of the frame. I'm not familiar with an equalizer setup - not even sure if your WDH uses chains?

I finally got around to measuring.... 29" from the tongue to the narrow space between the tank and battery mounts.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I purchased the trailer and my friend picked it up today. The dealer put the hitch on and they adjusted it and it worked. He will deliver it to me Sunday if the weather holds out (Michigan to Oklahoma).

That is a great toy hauler. We have one on the lot here, and I have been toying with it for the past month. The radio CRANKS with the sub-woofer!

Hope you enjoy it!

I think I speak for MANY of us here; 'CRANK it' at home and at the dealer... not while camping. Your 'music' is probably 'noise' to those of us that find nature's 'noises' soothing and one of the reasons we go camping.
