Jayco Octane Hitch Height

I have ordered a 2018 T32C and I am wondering what the hitch height is. I contacted Jayco and they told the me top of the ball should be at 30 3/4 inches.

This seems extremely high, and I am going to need like a 10 inch rise if that is the case. Can anyone check what their hitch height is when the trailer is level?

Thanks!

I have a T31b and I'm assuming the height would be the same. The top of the ball on my equalizer hitch is 31 1/2 inches

Thanks for letting me know. I am going to need almost a 10 inch rise. I contacted the dealer and he said 22 which is obviously way wrong.

I have 2017 T32C and pull with 2500HD Silverado 6.6 Duramax with standard (short) bed. Currently use Center Line TS weight distribution and sway system with 1200 Lb. tongue limit and 12,000 LB load. I load 1500 Lb trike in rear of trailer. Jayco advised tongue weight is 1495 Lb.. I am clearly over limit but truck pulls well and trailer does not sway. Getting tongue scale and may get Blue Ox sway Pro 15,000 Lb if weight as advertised but it is 1400 Lb tongue max. Not really many to there with more tongue weight I can find. What do you use? On issue, should one not just go by trailer being level and the hitch is what it is and the top of truck ball being 1 to 3 inches higher than top of trailer hitch ball? ON another matter, does anyone have knowledge about jacking up the front of the trailer loaded in rear with raring up in front?

I use a Blue Ox SwayPro 2000. It is rated for up to 2k tongue weight and 20k overall trailer weight. It only comes with a 2.5" shank though I believe. It is a very heavy built unit, and one of the only ones I could find that supported a tongue weight that high.

I just could not get comfortable using a hitch with a 1200 or 1400 lb tongue weight, knowing that the best case would still be over the limit of the hitch

Thanks for reply. I have ordered the 15,000 lb and 1500 lb tongue weight. When I measure the trailer hitch on a level surface it measures 30 1/4 to the top of the ball receiver. Everything I read says the ball on the truck when level should be 1 to 3 inches higher than the top of the ball receiver.
