Jayco Seismic 4250

I am looking at a 4250 and was wondering if anyone had any comments pro or con on this unit.

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully someone with a Seismic will be able to chime in soon.

I suggest you look at toy hauler forums and look at the issues pro or con. The 4250 has the same build features as the 4212 and 4112. Just a different floor plan, I have a 4212 and have had more issues than I can deal with.

I have a 2016 Seismic 4112 and it's been great so far...leveling system works great.....No problems with leaks, slides, awnings..only issue I have is the DVD player in the garage has audio, but no video...I will pull the radio/DVD out and see is video cable is connected.. Everything works exactly the way I expected to so far....The wife and I are very happy with pour's at this point

Been waiting on warranty parts since Feb 29th. It goes back to shop again Wed AM. They worked on the big slide last time and now it is completely mis aligned and not working.

How do you like the position of the tv in the main living area? Does it move out from the wall so that the angle is more comfortable watching from the sitting area?

I moved the entire recliner section away from the TV, putting you at a better angle, (for now), for the wife and I to watch TV..I'm going to remove the TV and put a bracket in to where you can pull the TV out and angle it for better watching positioning.

I'm on my second Seismic. My first 2014 model 3914 had issues, mainly leveling and undercarriage corrosion caused by selling dealer. Long story. I'm in a 2016 4112 and like NC I've been very happy with a few small items which my exceptional dealer (found a great one in NJ two hours from me but worth the drive) took care of in record time. I've had great support from Jayco with warranty work on both units. Leveling system is improved from my 2014 but I will say, it needs a hydraulic system for size and weight. I will be upgrading mine to a Bigfoot probably later this year or next. So far my leveling system has been fine with an expectation that if you have more than 1.5 degrees Unlevel left or right the system is only rated to 3 degrees total (1.5 left or right) and anything more you just need leveling blocks to get it in spec.

I like the 4250 floorplan. If it were out when I got the 4112 I would have jumped on it. Will be putting articulating tv mount on wall for the main TV but I will be honest and for as much tv as we watch indoors it's fine for now.

I think like most of the manufacturers there is a bit of a roll of the dice on quality. The difference I believe is having a manufacturer that can support you and a superb dealer service department as your advocate and competent tech turning a wrench on the rig. Of course YMMV as they say.

Like NC said, so far so good.

We have a 2016 4250 and have had absolutely no problems with it. We bought the RV and the Ram 3500 to pull it at the same time. The truck has 19,000 miles and 17,000 of those miles were towing. We did loose two tires but that was trauma related due to road debris. My wife picked the 4250 because she wanted her recliner directly in front of the TV, she did not want to sit with her head turned side ways or have to look up to see the TV. My favorite's are the big shower and the big residential fridge. We did initially have some trouble with the leveling system but it was caused by low voltage, because the unit was delivered with one small 24 series battery. Since we upgraded to two 27 series batteries we have had no problems. My only issue with the unit is; I bought it to haul toys, the pretty paneling and window dressings are getting all torn up. For some the "multi purpose room" is great, but for me I wish Jayco would offer a diamond option for the action crowd.

When you do your walk through video tape it! The big girl has so many buttons and switches, you will need to refer to the video to remember how to do things. When you do the walk through test every thing. Run the shower on city and tank water. Run the heater and the AC both no matter what time of year. Watch all three TV's, play a DVD and jam to some tunes. Set it up and take it down a couple of times.....
