Just upgraded Jaycos

Hello all,

Well, we made a poor decision (ish) with our last camper, a Jayco Jay Feather 23BHM that we basically immediately outgrew so we traded it in for a 2018 Octane T30F. This one is our plan for the long haul as we intend to live full time in about 7 years when the youngest graduates while still being a good camper for weekend trips. We got it with the 5.5kw Onan and two AC's as we live in Oklahoma and some of the better camping isn't where the campgrounds are but it's still super HOT during the summer. Just wanted to say hi, as for toys we do have a couple dirtbikes and my dual sport with the hopes of finding a decent 4 seater someday soon. We got it Wednesday and broke it in starting Thursday at the Great Salt Plains.

It is nice to see someone else with a 2018 Octane. We ordered one a few months ago and just took delivery last week of a T32C. There was not too much info out about them at the time.

Yeah we got one with the CVP but even their documents were wrong. I asked about the fresh tank being 102 gallons and their forms said 60 gallons. Yup it has 102.

Have you had a chance to look at your roof? Mine has a few wrinkles and is loose in a few spots already. Dealer is going to check in the spring since it sits under cover for winter.

Yeah, it was the first thing I checked during the PDI. It was in better shape than my other camper so I'm fairly confident there. We started a list this weekend and are taking it out again beginning of November to check some more things before we take it in for a 30-day inspection.

I looked from the back but I have no idea how I missed it. The dealer says it is very common, but said they would take a look at it when I bring it in for since other reasons.

I am not too thrilled with how it looks that's for sure.

Congratulations on the T30F. Can you tell me how well it tows, what you pull it with, overall impression of quality, ease of use for the options you have? I just found this model in my search and have put it in my top 3 while the search continues.
Thanks.

I've only been able to go out three times so far but overall I like it. Jayco's attention to detail was fairly garbage on this one but it's nothing show-stopping. Stuff like mismatched trim, poor support under the drawers in the kitchen, etc. I have a 2014 Ram 2500 that I used to tow my old 23MBH and it is definitely more noticeable to tow than that trailer was but not too bad. Overall, I like it but in hindsight, I may have gone other places if the opportunity presented itself. I really liked the Cruiser Stryker models but the dealer locally that sells them talked themselves out of a deal.
