The ground control system is very voltage sensitive, if the voltage drops to low, it throws an error or stops. The 12 volt system on these trailers is set up like a solar system, every thing runs off the batteries. The shore power battery charger is just a trickle charge, the wire for 12 volt power in the plug from the truck is to small to supply much power and is again just for trickle charging. If you ran your residential refrigerator off the inverter while driving then your battery is pretty drained to start. I was having ground control and slide problems with my 4250 on my first few trips. The problem ended up being that my rig was delivered with one small battery. Once I upgraded to two 27 series batteries all my problems went away. The motors on the jacks and slides are like small starter motors, so that's like trying starting your car that won't start 12 times......Takes a lot of juice!!!! Also these big trailers are power hogs, three TV's, two stereos, smoke detectors, gas detectors and CO detectors that are all wired constantly hot so that they always work or their memories do not erase. If you leave straight from storage your batteries are low from the start. I'm going to add a solar system for two reasons, 1 keep batteries charged while in storage and 2 run residential fridge while driving in the day time.
If the picture is of your middle jack, it looks like it was installed to close to the ground, mine is over 6" from the ground in the retracted position.
