New Seismic 400W

Hi we recently purchased a 2016 Seismic 400W. Love the floor plan but when doing the PDI with the dealer we identified about 20 things needing correction. We took delivery and after the first weekend identified another list of things. I can only say I think a lot of these problems are caused by Jayco trying to rush through to get the units out of the factory. Our previous toy hauler was a Jayco 39A. The quality control really needs to be addressed.

Many of the items were things that didn't affect the use of the trailer. For example, the metal trim around the microwave was over tightened so the trim was bent.... The decal on the back of the trailer was weather cracked; a dent in one of the storage compartments, etc.....

The dealer has the trailer now and all items are supposed to be completed by The dealer. Our dealer is great so I'm hoping all gets corrected.

Best of luck. I just got a 2016 400w today. It was the last one in the state of CA. I hope we don't run into the same issues. Please keep the post updated. I'm interested.

All of the items were pretty minor. The worst thing was that they had hooked the hot and cold water in the shower backwards. The dealer has corrected everything. From the two weekends we had it out we loved it. It's a great layout. We tow it with a Ford F-350 Dually. My husband says it ties beautifully.

What year is the truck? Does it have the 7.3 motor?

It is actually a 2011. It has the 6.7 diesel motor. He loves it. He has no problem towing the big trailer at all. Tons of power and even towing fully loaded we get about 15 miles per gallon.
