New Seismic 4113

Picked up our new rig last Saturday, Bubba. He's a big boy weighing in at 17,424. CAT scale after first fill up; 5340 steer; 8080 drive; 14,100 trailer for a total of 27,520. Did just over 1,500 miles and 6 nights for the shakedown. A couple of minor issues during PDI, nothing to be upset about, dealer will handle. Nothing new uncovered yet, knocking on wood. MPG is 8.4 at 65 MPH and goes up to a tad over 11 if I keep it under 60.

What year? They no longer make the 4112. It looks just like my new 4113.

New Seismic 4113

Best of Luck with it. Really like that floor plan. May I ask a few questions and offer 6 years of Seismic advice (on 2nd one)? I’ve got the 2016 4112 now, and wondering about a couple changes made:

-Whats driving the main slide now? I think they finally realized big slides arent for Swintek systems.
-I notice the ramp door has a stand now. I replaced my rear door once already in warranty because it ended up bowing at the top in the middle and wasnt sealing when shut over time. Seems perhaps theyve realized that needs a support. Can you take a close up of that stand, Id like to order one for my door? (in meantime Ill use a makeshift one)
-Was there an option for the Lippert Hyd Lvl system (if you ordered this one)?
- Can you snap a quick photo of the spring shackle hangers? Been a bunch of failures due to lateral left to right forces breaking them clean off on the road, curious if they Changed it at all?

Advice:

-Get Grade 8 3” bolts and wing nuts for those front landing gear and a 6 pack (at least 4 group 27) well charged set of good batteries for the Leveling System. Also when you hook up dont let the gear slide forward as you raise the front jacks (rig and truck lengthen as it sits down). That lateral force over and over can bend the jacks. You dont want any lateral bending on those thats where things go bad. The gearing inside over time WILL wear out (I have two that the worm gears disintegrated in my garage since 2014 Id be happy to show you). Latstly, for the Leveling system, heres what I do: anything more than 0.3 side to side or a steep front to back grade where the front needs to raise to level (this will ask the rears to give more than they can) I will use the lego blocks on the low side and get it as close to 0-0.3 as I can, then level it. Think of this leveling system as trim leveling, you do the heavy lifting it will trim it and stabilize the rig.

Thanks in advance if you can share those photos. Id really like to order that stock removable ramp stand. Also a photo of the rear patio stairs and where they connect to the door would be great, trying to see if thats the Morryde. I have a swing back gate from 2016 that a local metal shop is gonna make into a sliding gate door like yours so I can use the steps. The steps I bet add some stability as well.

Again congrats and all the best with it.

Congrats and welcome to the seismic club. For the first time in 2 years, there's actually 2 of us in the campground we're at tonight.

It's a 2020 4113, not a 4112 as my fat old fingers initially typed.

I'll get the pics and other info next time I'm out there. The rear deck support is actually on the step, not on the patio itself. No option on leveling, Ground Control 3.0.

Thanks much. If you could get s good photo of the steps and hiw they attach to the door that wohld be great. I could hopefully order a set of steps and the support as one which would be great if I can mount the attachment hardware to this door.

Congrats! I just ordered the same unit early July. Hoping it’ll be here by early September. How long did it take for yours to come in? What are you towing it with?

The spring hangers are junk. Jayco will not admit faulty design. The main entry door on mine, (2017 4113) has the cylinder rubbing clear through the bottom of the door. Can't get warranty or Jayco to fix that. Been through two landing leg replacements. Lippeet sent me a publication that was issued in July of 2016 telling Jayco tha the legs used are not suitable for the weight on these coaches. Jayco laughed me off the phone when confronted about this. Bad venting in black tanks causing a burn in toilet when flushed. Welcome to the world of jayco seismic ownership. I have more but finger is tired now

Yes, that lines up very closely to my mileage with this unit - 2018 F350 dually, 3.55's, 4X4.

What brand/size 5th wheel hitch did you get?
