Octane 222 vents

Hey Guys,
Need some help!! I have an Octane SL 222 and I am going to put two Harley's in it. Is it safe to open the vents in the garage area while driving?

Yes but it can suck a lot of dust in.

I don't know your unit, but if you have the standard 14 x 14 crank up vents back there, you should consider putting Maxxair or similar vent covers over them. This way the regular vent covering won't get blown (since the Maxxair is tapered) around and you can actually leave the vents open, even in the rain.

I have 2 vents on side of left and right walls. I open them when traveling with my bikes and that’s what they are designed to do I open the forward one on left wall facing the direction of travel. As it is located. High up on the wall. To avoid getting road debris/ dust. And the aft one on right wall facing opening aft. So air is rammed into the left one and vented from the right one. To vent gas fumes from bikes. I close them if I think it’s going to rain. While driving. I’m. Pretty sure you have the same wall vents. Maybe not.

I do have those vents, one up high on the left and one on the lower right! I was thinking they were designed to open while in roughy to create airflow but wanted to confirm. Would hate to have the wind pull it out at freeway speed if I was wrong!

Thanks all for ur responses!!

Just crack those vents a little bit (First notch on the bar) but beware it will suck in a ton of dust.

Ive only opened mine 1 time and the back was sooooo dusty that i;ve never opened them again.

A faint smell when you first walk in but I just always drop the ramp door while i unload everything and byt time im done you wouldn't know there was 2 quads lawnmower chainsaw kicking around.

And when we go home we load the quads covered in muskeg mud and again by time im done unloading you wouldnt know they were in there.

Now if you have a gas leak or something more severe it may smell for a bit but in my experience having the ramp door down for 30 mins you cant smell anything
