Octane 222SL tongue weight unloaded/loaded

I am just putting this out there so that it might help any other Octane owners.
I weighed my 2019 Octane 222SL tongue with full fresh water and propane, empty black and grey tanks, empty garage. Then I loaded a Dyna S and M8 Softail in the garage.
TW empty = 1130lbs
TW loaded = 840lbs
So... looks like about 1500lbs in the garage area offsets tongue weight about 300lbs... YMMV.

Good info. Thanks for posting. Perhaps the 5:1 ratio you experienced is a good approximate rule of thumb.

When I pulled this trailer with my 2016 F-150, I had airbags to level the rear of the truck when heavy. My SuperDuty isn't burdened by the heavier weight so I do not bother making adjustments.
I am using an EZ2 sway bar hitch with 1000lb round bars.

Two questions: Are those bike stands bolted down? Do you have them on rubber mats to protect the floor? Thanks for the weight info.

No, they are not bolted down. I remove them when not being used.
Yes, the thick rubber mats protect the floor.
Just an FYI... The stands hold the bikes upright very well. I then secure each motorcycle with 4 straps. 2 front and 2 rear. The rear straps are pulling rearward more than down. Be sure to crawl underneath and check how well your tie down anchors are installed. I re-bolted all of mine with better hardware.

How do you get the bikes out of the stands if they aren’t bolted down? I have the Harbor Freight stand but can’t get my bike off unless it is strapped to something.
