Octane Floor Strength

I am looking at a 2016 new left over T30F. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about he floor in those?

Has anyone had trouble with them being weak?

Thanks

After some research it looks like it might be 5/8 wafer board with 2 inches of foam and then 1/8 hardboard underneath. I am not to keen on this laminated construction and it doesn't look like too many people on this forum are either.

Decisions, I really like the unit and the price is great. This might be a deal breaker.

Chime in if anyone has any thoughts.

I would stay away from any type of sandwich floor if it was me.

My gut was to stay away from them also. It is somewhat disappointing that they equip both the super light and regular Octane with a floor like that.

I am a Jayco fan but I need a bumper pull toy hauler so I might have to look elsewhere.

I have a 2015 octane T31b. I haul a 1900 lb Kawasaki mule and haven't noticed any problems with the floor

We have a 2014 Octane T29.. Over 45,000 miles on it, almost all hauling 2 Harley dressers ( ~1950#s) or a John Deere Gator. Did haul a 1952 International B for my brother in law for 900 miles, ~ 2,800 #s. Floor is still level, and in good shape. Did have the door replaced under warranty, it was bowed in the middle, would not seal at the top middle. In fairness, the door is only rated for 2,000 #s, so I am partially to blame I guess. Would have no problem recommending the strength of the Octane's floor.

I am glad to hear that some people have had good luck with this floor construction in the Octane.

We are searching around for a bumper pull toy hauler, that is modest in size, and does not cost a small fortune. It is very difficult to find units that fit the bill without some sort of laminated something in the floor.
