Octane sl222: Door ramp- hard to lower & lift

Has anyone added an additional spring to the ramp to make it easier to lower and lift. I can still do it, but at age 77 it is getting a little harder especially with the porch attached.

I added springs to my side deck on my 2017 Seismic 4213, and I have another couple springs I am going to add to the rear ramp, the rear ramp will take a bit of drilling and repositioning a few things but I am expecting it to take the lifting issues away as it did with my side deck.

I spoke with a parts guy and he said they put gas struts on the outside of a customer’s ramp door. Website he gave me was “Gasspringsshop.com”.
