Anyone have one and care to shares good/bad. Very close to a purchase.

Also, what are you pulling it with. I have a 2019 F250 SD, 4x4 FX4, 6.75 bed. Putting helper springs on it.

Dry hitch on that trailer is over 3300lbs. Do you know your current weights and axle capacity?

truck weight is like 7880
R GAWR = 6340
Payload, I don't understand why is as 2230
Found one ford dealer site that says 4250
SRW

I am putting a Super Spring helper on it.

I am putting a Super Spring helper on it.

Ford has so many options that you can get no extra towing/payload options with the diesel and be almost as low as a half ton, or all the towing/payload options with a gasser to be over 4000. Axle weights are far more important than payload capacity on HD trucks.
Do you have a CAT scale close? It’s quick and cheap to weigh. If your RAWR is 6340 you can go with a a full tank of fuel, and subtract the actual rear axle weight. That will be what you have to work with. Keep in mind that helper spring(more weight) will also subtract from that. I would get the weights with your people load if possible.

I normally give 250/2500s the benefit of the doubt, because they usually have the same axles at the SRW 350/3500. BUT… that is a whole lot of trailer. Lots of old timers will say , “If the trailer has 6 tires, so should the truck.”

Interesting. It must be stock photos on the Jayco page, because it looked like 3 axles there. I still say get your weights, and if you won’t be overloading the axles you should be fine.

so I would be really concerned about the pin weight, given the noted dry weight. Once you add stuff, add at least 500 lbs to the pin weight, unless you have a big toy in the back to counter balance. Also, you have the shorter bed, so need to factor in weight for a slider hitch, which is also 'heavy', on top of the listed pin weight. Suspect you will overloaded before you put anything in your truck or trailer. Def be clear on capacity of your truck as noted on the sticker on your door panel.

Example - The dry pin weight on my Seismic is listed as ~3800. Around 4200 with stuff in it to camp. We went dually to handle the weight, and any potential issues such as a flat on the rear.
