Seismic side patio support

Picking up my new 2020 Seismic 4113 this Friday....
The rear patio has steps which I believe also add support to the rear patio deck. My question is has anyone added a support to the side patio? Seems to me that over time the side patio would begin to sag if there’s no support for this.

Seems easy enough. the fusion toyhauler has a patio step that comes off the side. So u have to remove one cable and swing a support leg in its place.
I've been thinking of doing the same on my patio in the middle at the rear. We have support on the step but dont really use them much. But I can feel that it could use sum support.

Not quite sure where you think it is going to sag. Steps don't give the deck much support. At least the way mine are set up. The outside edges (metal frame) are the strongest part of the deck. The cables and hardware are more than adequate. The weak link is the middle of the deck and possibly screws and bolts if not fastened correctly. We have a 2017 and have not used the steps yet. In fact I am going to start leaving them home. I can use the storage space for something else. BTW, according to Jayco, the decks are not waterproof. They advise putting the decks up during foul weather.

I have put an old trailer leg from a single axle trailer under the middle of our side deck. After using the patio for a time I noticed the patio "warping" and not sealing tight when closed.

is the warping due to the middle leg you installed or did it occur before you started using the leg?

The warping began shortly after using the deck. I use the leg to support the middle of the deck, this is where the warping occured. IMHO, Jayco in their infinite wisdom, decided to use substandard material to use as a platform to support up to 600 lbs of weight.( Per the owners manual). Go figure😅

I hope they changed that for the 2020 model.
