Talon owners LOOK!

If u own a talon, any model, or know someone that does, grab it tape measure! Need to measure from top of tire to bottom of wheel well.
Mine has 2 inches and has made contact with wheel well and the axle has made contact with frame.
Lippert has been contacted and said they recommend 3-4 inches clearance.
Jayco hasn't said anything yet.

Our trailer (313t) has the 3-4 inches noted by Lippert. The thing I noticed was the wiring to the slide motor was right above the tire. Originally, the wire was loosely taped up and fell down and was getting damaged by the tire. Ended up zip tying it together and screwed it to the box.

Thanks for looking. I know of another talon that guy said 2" as well. I'm waiting to find out what jayco wants to do.
I found one of the brake wires smashed and broken. And they have all kinds of wires and gas hoses ran in a way that can be damaged if suspension issues occur

Wow. That frame damage is interesting. What do you carry in the back? I’m sure lippert or jayco will want to know.

I need to update my post above. 3 of the 4 tires appear to be in spec but the 4th one is at 2 inches. The spring looked okay but I didn’t spend a lot of time comparing them.

I need to bring my trailer in for some warranty repair work at the end of the season so I’ll have to add this to the list

If it's made contact it's easy to see. There is sheet metal above the tire. All 4 tires have contacted the metal. The only thing I've ever had of any weight is fresh water. I bought our trailer to haul our motorcycle. But we have yet to load it because trailer has been at a lake site most of the summer. In fact, we have only towed it about 1800 miles.....

Odd. I’ll be interested What kind of a response you’ll get from Jayco. We have one more trip for the season and then we’ll bring it in to the shop and what they say.

I just had the brakes fixed under warranty at a Camping World and they didn’t say anything. I asked them to check over the suspension as of the stories for the spring brackets breaking here are disconcerting.

I'll post back when I get a response. my trailer will stay at the lake until then.
But I will say, it looks as if all my springs are flat. I'm sure they are all gonna need replaced. And after warranty, I'll upgrade them all to an 8k suspension....
