Third AC

We have started a deal on a Seismic 4113 with a local dealer. The TH won't be in till next week, but I got the options sheet. It shows only two AC unit, lacking the third in the garage.

Our first RV and I notice some have the three AC Units and some just have two. I figure we will at times be in areas that are 80 and 90 degrees.

Should the lack of a third AC unit be a deal breaker?

Yes. see if they will add one for the same deal. Make sure it's the same as the other two.

The garage should have a drop in already there. It should be like the bedroom AC not like the middle one. The middle on has the heat pump option, you can add a heat pump to the garage AC. Frankly heat in the garage is the issue. Below 45 degrees the heat pump doesn’t heat. We use a propane heater in garage.

As far as the heat pump goes. I am being told that the heat pump option only puts a heat pump in the living room unit which makes me ask is there a duct from the coach’s mainLP furnace in the garage? As far as the 3rd ac I live in Louisiana and it would be a must have option for me.

I would recommend the 3rd ac. If you are using the living room then u can run the bedroom and garage ac so you don’t have to yell at each other because the living ac is too loud. Same with front bedroom

Also makes a good back up if one ac fails.

We have a 4113 with 3 ac units. I would suggest you get the third if you plan on using the garage for anything other than just storing toys. If you isolate the garage from the rest of the RV you will be OK, otherwise if you are in direct sun the other two AC's will not keep up. Also, as previously mentioned there is no heat ducted to the garage. In cooler weather you will need to either isolate the garage or heat via some sort of space heater.

you def want the 3rd AC unit if it is going to be used in 'warm' areas. if it will be used as a bedroom, then it is a must

What year model do you have? Others have said there is one furnace heat duct in the garage.

We have a 2017. I believe a duct to the propane heater in the floor would be a fire hazard. Any fuel leaks from your toys could get into the duct and then to the furnace.

Technically since the back garage can store gasoline operated vehicles, it cannot be connected to the main furnace system. There would be the possibility of pulling gas fumes into the rest of the coach. Thus the reason for a door to section the garage off...and
