under bed question

noticed the access panel under bed for outside storage is screwed down. Any reason ? Is it structural ? The other one for the wh isn't screwed down.

Remove it and look? Most likely it is not of any structural issues. Often there is wires or utilities in the area, and this is their way of making it accessible but safe.

I did look. Outdoor storage is L shaped.door under bed is hinged and screwed. Nothing there.
