Underbelly screws

I have a 2019 jayco octane 273 and was wondering if anyone knew what type head are on the self taping screws that secure the underbelly to frame? They almost appear to be a torque head but are not. Have read that they might be a snap on BS2 four point.
Anyone know for sure?

Robertson bit #2 it's square and available anywhere tool are sold. Buy a few as they wear, unless stainless, and get lost. You will find them all over the rv.

I replace them with Philips head screws as I find them even though I have a set of Robertson bits. The toughest for me so far were the top window valence screws - Took me a while to realize they were not Phillips!!

Everything I have seen on a Jayco camper has been a #2 square drive (Robertson #2). However, someone posted a similar question about a month ago. He posted a picture and they looked like a torque bit (T-25).

Can you post a picture of the screw head??

underbelly screws

I have attached a picture of the head of the screws. It does look like a torx head but I have not been able to find a bit that will fit.
So, can you guys confirm a #2 square bit will work with these?

Your resolution is not the best. But it looks like a Torx-plus

I think I have found the answer, it appears these screws are called "Double Square 8 Point Exterior Screws". I have seen a bit but have not been able to find one for sale. It is said that the # 2 Square bit will fit these so I will try that and see what happens.

I had the same question last fall and found the answer you came up with. The #2 Robertson fits perfectly.

That looks like a star or torx head BOTH are easily obtained at any hardware store.

They are for use with the #2 square bit. They are designed that way for faster installation since you now have 4 positions to insert the bit.

Star or torx will not fit but don't take my word for it! LOL

Get a #2 Robertson bit and it will fit 90% of the screws in your rig.

X2. Take it from Norty1. Torx is 6 point. What you have is 8 point. Invest in square #2 for your trailer.
