Cool '16 Precept 35S- dual tire problem

So above both Duals on a Precept 35S there are shields screwed into the sheet metal that protect the black/fresh tanks. Well, ya better check those shields guys! Our passenger shield came unattached (as far as we can tell it was only held on at the top) and started to bounce on top of the inside dual tire- causing it to gouge the side of tire. All of a sudden as we were going 60 mph down the freeway, we heard and felt something with a bang then we smelled the burned rubber from the tire. Took the next exit (thankfully, it was our RV park exit) and found the shield had fallen and gouged the tire. So now we sit and wait for the tire store to open as it is a holiday and everyone is closed. What is weird tho is that what we thought was a spare tire in the under cabinet turned out it has the same gouge marks! So it happened before! Most likely when it was driven to Oregon to the dealer to sell. Anyone else have this issue?

Perhaps the panels need to be welded as well as secured with screws.

Are you saying that you have a spare tire in a cabinet on the underside of the frame?
