Door wouldn't close.....our solution.

My husband and I had the exact same problem with our 2016 Alante. We noticed that when the weather was cold it was very difficult to open or close the door. One night while camping in the Sierra's, it was so bad, we actually had to tie the door closed with our dog's leash.
My husband tried adjusting the screws and moving the metal strike plate up and down without success. Eventually, when our motor home was in for some warranty work we asked the service tech if they could cut out the bottom of the door jam about 1/4" to allow for the strike plate to be lowered more. This totally took care of our problem.
