2015 Precept 29UM

Hey everyone,
We purchased a 29 UM 2 months ago and all is well. It drives fine for us. Trucks don't affect it much either. Most of the problems were found in the dealer lot before we left. The navigation system needed to be swapped out. I tried to program our route home and it was faulty. One of the dash air vents was disconnected. The power seats were not working. The seat power problem was traced to a connection under the hood. I found one of the supply wires wasn't screwed tight to the terminal.
We put adhesive hooks up for the curtain in addition to the power shade. The 3 shades are not enough to have privacy at night. They leave gaps. They give you the curtains along with the shades. But they won't install both.
A rear latch was very hard to open. I had to take the latch off and ensure it was operating properly.
The tankless water heater setting, I chose to set it at its lowest setting and when showering use only the hot water. This works fine for us.
The sewer hose holder is way too small for most hoses. I had to add a 33" to 66" collapsible PVC carrier underneath the vehicle.
There is no rear ladder due to the rear slide. I purchased a collapsible ladder with silicone guards on it to protect the vehicle.
There is no topper on the rear slide. Why, I don't know. But you should look up there for debris before you close it.
Everything else works fine . We love it. Our floor plan is discontinued and we are so happy with its layout. Why did they discontinue our floor plan , who knows!!

Glad you are enjoying your 29UM! I have had mine since February of this year and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Like you, I found the layout appealing. It just fit me better than the 31UL, which is still a nice layout in its own right. I bought a telescoping folding Werner ladder which works great in lieu of the rear ladder for the rare times I need to get on the roof. It drives extremely well and I never experienced the wandering that some 31UL owners described on their 18,000 lb F53 chassis. I presume the weight is distributed differently for the 29UM and it may be better balanced. I read that the super slide mechanism was problematic on the 29UM up until September 2014, the month mine was manufactured, when they changed the roller design. I would guess that the model didn't sell as well as the others or perhaps it was more expensive to manufacture, who knows? Glad I got one. 7,800 miles and counting.
