Great question! I'm still using mine as is, but would love another solution. I thought about putting a sliding door similar to a barn door on the wall, unfortunately slide out buttons, thermostat and light switches are all in the way

When we purchased our 2015 35Uun the accordion door was the only negative, After some research I was told by Jayco it can be done. So I ordered the door and the dealer was to install it before delivery, Well it didn't get done, t o make a very very long story short, Jayco did the Modification at the factory, I was out there for a slide issue, I purchased the door from my dealer, but they never ordered it, So it was shipped to my house after taking delivery, The dealer quoted me 2 hours to install, They were very wrong, At the Jayco Factory Service center in IN it took them 2 days, they replaced the side wall because the round heater vent would make the door too short from the bottom, They installed a small rectangle heating vent, The header is beautiful, the door sticks out about 3 inches from the wall because of the change in design form 2015 to 2016, We love the modification. When I was talking to director of the service center, I had to send her emails that confirmed Jayco engineers said it could be done, and that I was promised it would be, with that Jayco did the modification, to top it all off they didn't charge me to install the door. Now our 2015 36UN, Yup only 36UN since it is the prototype, is perfect for us. We love the new door! The only reason Jayco did this was because we were promised it would get done. They were fantastic!

PS these pictures are not of my unit but the result is the same, When I get home I will take some pictures of my modification and post them.
