2017 alante 32N shower side panels

There is no caulk at the bottom of the shower walls. Is this an oversight from Jayco or is it like that for some purpose? I can caulk it, but before I do I want to make sure it wasn't left that way for drainage.

it's suppose to be that way. The top panel is on top of the base panel that has a molded lip (back splash if you will). By not be chalked, it allows any moisture to escape. I suspect chalking could cause more damage and any good.

Same concept as shingles on your roof or lap board on exterior house walls.

Thanks! I've been wondering whether we should be worried about it but haven't had any issues!
