2018 31UL Door lock

Has anyone found a door lock with a different handle on the inside? One that you can rotate the handle up or down as you close the door so it will latch. On mine you have to pull the flat handle towards you, and it doesn't release the latch until the door is up against the frame. Also the little lock/unlock knob shifts to lock when it shouldn't and is just a PITA. I've seen them in other coaches, but don't know if they would fit. Any thoughts

I noticed Jayco changed door the handle/lock sometime after I bought my 2019 34G. I don’t care for mine. To get out from the inside most of the time I sit down and with two hands open both the screen door and the main door handle to open the door. I’ll be following this Post to see if someone has come up with a better lock.
