2020 Toyota Highlander

Hi all, I have an 80” MASTERTOW dolly and would like to know if anyone is towing a 2020 Highlander. I have a 2013 Sienna van but it is too wide at 78”
It touches and is prone to door damage. The new Highlander is 76”.

First of all what is the combined weight of the Highlander and the tow dolly?

Looks like your good to go. Does your dolly have breaks?

Front wheel drive only. AWD or 4x4 cannot be dolly towed.

I believe you will find out the 2020 Highlander is a trailer tow only vehicle. Hybrid which is FWD cannot be towed with any wheels on the ground and that is also true with the AWD versions. Page 212 and 199 of the respective owners manuals.

The dolly has surge brakes. I have used it to tow 2006 FWD Highlander no probs at all. The 2020 I am looking at is FWD. But it is wider than the 2006. I was mostly concerned with the fenders hitting the body. That’s why I am not towing our 2013 Sienna. Sienna is 78” wide. 2020 Highlander is 76” wide. Old Highlander is 72”.
