2023 precept 34b lane wandering

New to this forum so still figuring out the search options.
We have a 2023 Precept 34b with the factory installed J ride plus (not sure what that includes) but with trucks passing or a decent side wind I feel like I'm driving a boat. I know it's a big square box but this is ridiculous at times and makes for a stressful trip. We can't be alone, what has anyone else done that helps?

Welcome to JOF. Here is a thread from the Admin and Announcements thread on searching. The official one lacks a lot but read this thread and it will help you find stuff. Don't be afraid to ask a question as we encourage it and have many on here that will gladly help answer most anything!

Super Steer a company in the Northwest has products that may help...I have purchased several products from them to help with the wind and other handling ( not "ride" issues).

YouTube can be your friend...Supersteer has some videos that may help:

Just go to Jayco or Entegra and look up the suspension specs for the 36A and the 36C and copy that.
Both units have upgraded suspensions. Our 36A runs on tracks.
I still have to watch out for Semi trucks though. They get sucked into us when they pass us. They are not prepared for a gasser being able to withstand them lol.

My 36U wandered all over the road until I got the front end aligned. It was only 2k miles and had it 2 months and had to have that done. Now that its aligned, I can drive straight with one hand!

My Redhawk 22C also wandered ever since we bought it (with 5,000 miles on it). Finally, at 10,000 miles I got the front end aligned. Huge difference! The guy at the alignment shop told me that the manufacturers add thousands of pounds to a bare chassis and never change the alignment before they send it out. I would try the alignment first before spending money on suspension upgrades.

Get an alignment check. I had a class C and after adding Caster to the front end, all wandering went away. Units are aligned before house is installed causing the Caster to be greatly reduced thus causing your issue.

Correct tire pressure can help a lot. Get your coach weighed, all four corners separately, can usually be done at a local land fill for free. Then call the technical rep for whoever's tires you have. I have Michelin, saw a lot of posts about "Keeping theirs at 90psi all around". Michelin told me 90psi on the front, and 70psi on the rear. I adjusted accordingly and it definitely helped.

I also did an adjustment on the slop in the steering wheel. Found a youtube video, took 5 minutes to adjust. That helped as well.

I typed in "f53 steering box adjustment" in Youtube, and there were a few videos. You need to find the one that looks like your year.
