31 UL Precept water intrusion in front bays

Has anyone had water entering in the front bays? We drove in extremely heavy rain yesterday and discovered 1" standing water in the bays behind front tires.

No but I will bet the door seals are leaking on yours.

As for your question: We have had occasions where water would get past the seals like mowdoc said. The position of those first bays would invite leakage while driving in rain....heavy or not. Perhaps adding mudflaps behind the steering axles would help redirect the spray.
As a preventive measure, I have treated the seals with seal treatment (same as used on seal rubbers on your slides) to try to keep them flexible.

I had the same problem of water flooding the small front compartment. My service center checked it by setting a light inside the compartment and looked for light leakage - found light coming from a small area on the frame of the door. They removed the door frame, cleaned it well, resealed and reinstalled.
No more leak.
